Rock Pool Trip - Tuesday 8th June

Hiya!

Remember that we've got our Rock Pool trip coming up on the 8th June.  It's the first day back after  Queens Birthday weekend - so make sure you don't forget!  There's a few of you who haven't brought their permission slips back yet - get them in quick!

You should wear good shoes for walking over rocks, a warm jacket and a hat.  It's going to be great ... I wonder what we'll find!

Learning to Count to 10 in Te Reo Maori

In class this term we've been learning to count to 10 in Te Reo Maori.  We decided to make a movie with Room 9 to help us practice at home counting.  This is one of our Homework Challenges - so practice, practice, practice and you can get it signed off!

School Disco!

Here's a pic from Amanda (Finn's Mum) of Robyn, Grace, Amelia, Finn & Tom at the disco.  It looks like it was a fun night!  I did a "little" doctoring of the photo on www.picnik.com.

Finn's Holiday Pics at the Pet Porpoise Pool

Finn went to Australia with his family and visited the Pet Porpoise Pool in Coffs Harbour.  They took some awesome photos ... check them out.  One of the photos is of a seal putting rubbish in the bin.  One of the staff at Porpoise World said to make sure everyone knows that: "The biggest threat to sea life is made by humans.  We pollute the water ways with chemicals (such as oil and detergent) and rubbish (such as plastic bags and fishing lines)."  So DON'T LITTER!!
